Pet visit report template: what to include after every booking

A simple structure for documenting completed pet-care visits and keeping owners informed.

← All guides
01

Identify the visit

Include the date, approximate arrival and departure times, pet name and service performed. Keep home-access instructions out of reports that may be forwarded.

02

Record completed care tasks

Check off feeding, fresh water, walks, cleanup and other agreed tasks. If a task could not be completed, state that rather than marking it done.

03

Share factual observations

Use specific descriptions such as “ate half of the planned meal” or “did not want to go outside”. Avoid diagnosing veterinary conditions.

04

Document problems and actions

If something unusual happened, write down the event, who you contacted and the response received. Follow the owner-approved emergency procedure.

05

Send the report securely

Use the update channel and timing agreed with the owner. Store a private copy and do not share pet or home photographs without permission.
